Alan Wake II System Requirements
Remedy Entertainment's highly anticipated game, Alan Wake II, is set to be the most visually stunning AAA title of the year. The publisher has released detailed system requirements for players looking to maximize their gaming experience. Separate lists have been provided for both RT (ray tracing) and non-RT experiences.
Minimum Requirements
- Storage: 90 GB SSD
- Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11
- Memory: 16 GB
- Processor: Quad-core Intel Core i5-7600K or equivalent
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 6600
These minimum requirements will allow players to achieve 1080p resolution at 30 FPS using the "quality" setting with DLSS 2 or FSR 2.
Non-RT "Medium" Settings
For a slightly better gaming experience, players can aim for either 1440p resolution at 30 FPS or 1080p resolution at 60 FPS. The recommended graphics cards for these settings are:
- 1440p @ 30 FPS: GeForce RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6600 XT
- 1080p @ 60 FPS: GeForce RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6700 XT
Non-RT "Ultra" Settings
For the ultimate non-RT gaming experience at 4K resolution and 60 Hz, players will need a high-end graphics card:
- 4K @ 60 Hz: GeForce RTX 4070 or Radeon RX 7800 XT
Note that these settings do not include ray tracing.
Ray Tracing Settings
Ray tracing introduces a whole new level of realism to the game, but it requires more powerful hardware. The recommended graphics cards for different ray tracing settings are:
- Low Ray Tracing (1080p @ 30 FPS): GeForce RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6800 XT
- Medium Ray Tracing (1080p @ 60 FPS): GeForce RTX 4070
- High Ray Tracing (4K @ 60 FPS): GeForce RTX 4080
Unfortunately, there is currently no AMD Radeon GPU that matches the performance of the GeForce RTX 4070 in its price range, so an AMD option is not recommended for ray tracing.
