Cooler Master to Launch New 27-Inch Mini LED Monitor
Despite the recent focus on OLED displays, Cooler Master is preparing to release a new 27-inch model called the Tempest GP2711, featuring Mini LED technology. The monitor boasts a standard 165 Hz 2560 x 1440 resolution and a VA-type panel with a response time of less than 4 ms.
What sets the Tempest GP2711 apart is its 576-zone Mini LED backlight, which enables an SDR brightness of 600 cd/m². Additionally, Cooler Master has incorporated a Quantum Dot coating to enhance color vibrancy. The monitor also offers a 3000:1 contrast ratio and covers 95% of the DCI-P3 reference space in terms of color gamut. Gaming enthusiasts will appreciate the FreeSync Premium Pro support.
In terms of connectivity, the Tempest GP2711 is equipped with one DP 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 ports, as well as a USB Type-C port with DP Alt mode support and 15 W power delivery. It also features two downstream USB 3.0 ports, an audio out, and likely another USB input, as it reportedly supports KVM functionality. The stand allows for standard tilt, height, and swivel adjustments.
According to TFT Central, the Tempest GP2711 is expected to be priced at around US$449 and will be available early next year.
