Introducing the EK-Pro CPU WB 1700 Water Block

EK, a renowned manufacturer of premium liquid cooling solutions, is proud to present a new high-performance CPU water block designed specifically for Intel LGA 1700 socket-based CPUs. This water block features a high-flow cooling engine and a dense microfin design that provides ample cooling, even for overclocked Intel Core i9-13900K processors.

Enterprise-Grade Cooling Solution

This dedicated water block is designed for Intel Core consumer processors based on the LGA 1700 socket. It is built with performance, reliability, serviceability, and no compromises in mind. The water block features two standard G1/4" threaded ports on the top and is suitable for desktop PCs, workstations, and taller server racks. The top of the water block is CNC-machined from durable black POM Acetal, while the hold-down bracket is made of laser-cut stainless steel.

Cooling Engine

The CPU water block utilizes a variant of the EK-Quantum Velocity² cooling engine. This specific combination of mounting pressure and cold plate geometry is tailored for Intel LGA 1700 socket processors. The low hydraulic flow restriction allows for use in setups with weaker water pumps or lower pump speeds, ensuring extra-silent operation without sacrificing performance.

The cold plate is precision-made to effectively cover the Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS) and apply pressure to the die area. The acetal top directs the coolant towards the jet plate, increasing liquid turbulence and guiding it into the middle of the cold plate's microfin stack. From there, the coolant splits to both sides and exits. This design ensures that the middle of the cold plate, directly above the CPU die, receives the most cooling and flow.

Easy Installation and Compatibility

The EK-Pro CPU WB 1700 water block comes with a pre-assembled mounting mechanism installed directly onto its metal mounting bracket. Four spring-loaded screws provide optimal hold-down pressure, resulting in a perfect installation and optimal performance without any guesswork.

The EK-Pro CPU WB 1700 water blocks are manufactured in Slovenia, Europe, and are available for pre-order on the EK Webshop. The product is expected to ship out in late July 2023. The manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP), including VAT, is 167.90€.
