A recent report from BoardChannels suggests that Galax may be implementing price cuts across its range of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 and 30-series custom graphics card models. Insider information from sources within NVIDIA and AMD board partners indicates that Galax could be reducing prices by up to 1000 RMB (approximately $140) on certain Ampere and Ada Lovelace products. These price cuts are expected to take effect later this month in Hong Kong and mainland China.

The article suggests that the GeForce RTX 4080 cards could see a reduction of 1000 RMB, while popular RTX 3060 models may receive cuts of around 250 RMB (approximately $35). Galax has reportedly already offered entry-level desktop GeForce RTX 3050 cards at lower prices in May, with reductions of 140 RMB (approximately $19.50). However, the RTX 4070 series is only expected to receive a discount of around 150 to 200 RMB (approximately $21 to $28), which may not be enough to boost sales given slow worldwide uptake since the product range's launch in mid-April.
