ASUS Unveils GeForce RTX 5090 ROG MATRIX 30th Anniversary Limited Edition GPU
ASUS has introduced the GeForce RTX 5090 ROG MATRIX 30th Anniversary Limited Edition GPU, now available on its U.S. store for $3,999. With only 1,000 units produced, this exclusive graphics card stands as the flagship model in ASUS’s RTX 50-series “Blackwell” lineup, offering unmatched performance and premium build quality for enthusiasts and collectors alike.
Premium Engineering and Advanced Cooling
The ROG MATRIX 30th Anniversary GPU is engineered with 3 oz copper PCB layers, a design choice that significantly improves heat dissipation and reduces voltage drop across components. This robust construction not only enhances overall performance but also supports higher overclocking potential, catering to users seeking top-tier gaming and creative workloads.
Cooling is managed by a sophisticated four-fan system, similar to the ASUS RTX 5090 Astral GPU. The setup includes three fans on the front and one on the back, utilizing a push-pull air cooling configuration to maximize airflow and thermal efficiency. The GPU shroud features a striking ROG red design, highlighted by a distinctive ring on one of the fans and an acrylic plate displaying the ROG MATRIX logo, underscoring the card’s limited-edition status.
Enhanced Power Delivery and Performance
ASUS offers support for BTF-supplied power delivery in addition to a 16-pin 12V-2x6 connector, enabling a total power setting of up to 800 watts. This far surpasses the standard 575-watt power limit of the Founders Edition, allowing for a 10% performance boost according to ASUS. The GPU’s boost clock frequency is rated at 2,730 MHz in standard mode and 2,760 MHz in OC BIOS mode, ensuring exceptional speed for demanding applications.
Innovative Monitoring Features
Integrated into the PCB is a Bosch Sensortec BMI323 inertial measurement unit (IMU), which combines an accelerometer and gyroscope. This miniature sensor continuously monitors the orientation of the graphics card, providing real-time alerts if the card shifts or sags, helping to maintain optimal installation and long-term reliability.
