AMD is scheduled to unveil the next wave of RDNA 4 graphics in desktop form during the second quarter of this year. Unlike NVIDIA, AMD has not publicly discussed expanding into dedicated laptop graphics solutions. The previous-gen "Navi Mobile" Radeon RX 7000M lineup did not receive much attention, with company engineers focusing on delivering RDNA 4 to desktop. Recent leaks in late March hinted at a future reliance on integrated RDNA 3.5-based graphics solutions.
All The Watts!! recently released a list of six potential Radeon RX 9000M family variants, with details on compute unit counts and VRAM configurations. The rumored Radeon RX 9080M flagship SKU may be based on AMD's Navi 48 GPU design, featuring 64 RDNA 4 compute units and 16 GB of video memory.
The leaked Radeon RX 9070M XT shares similarities with the rumored Radeon RX 9070 GRE 12 GB desktop card, both potentially using the Navi 48 GPU design. The RX 9070M XT is expected to have 48 compute units and 8 GB of VRAM. The other four RDNA 4 laptop SKUs—RX 9070M, RX 9070S, RX 9060M, and RX 9060S—are rumored to be based on the Navi 44 GPU IP with 8 GB of VRAM.
AMD recently teased new generation Radeon Mobile gaming experiences to be introduced at the upcoming Computex 2025 trade show.
