MAXSUN Brand and Products
MAXSUN's brand and products may not be widely recognized in the Western market, but they have established a strong reputation in Asia and China. They offer a range of products including motherboards and graphics cards that provide a good balance of price, performance, and build quality. While MAXSUN may not have the capacity for large-scale manufacturing, some of their products can compete with mid-range models from top-tier brands like Gigabyte or ASUS, but at a lower price point, making them a viable option for budget-conscious users.
MAXSUN at Computex
At this year's Computex event, MAXSUN showcased a variety of motherboard models in different form factors for both Intel and AMD platforms. Of particular interest were four models supporting Intel CPUs:
- MS-Terminator B760BKB D5
- MS-Terminator H770YTX D5 WIFI
- MS-iCraft B760M CROSS
- MS-Terminator Next-Gen for Intel Arrow Lake-S
The MS-Terminator B760BKB D5 is a unique Mini-ITX motherboard with an Intel B760 chipset. It features a single PCIe 5.0 x16 slot located on the back of the PCB, eliminating the need for a PCIe riser cable. This motherboard supports most current Intel CPUs, includes two DDR5 slots, a 10-phase power delivery, and two PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots. The I/O back panel offers a variety of ports including USB, HDMI, DP, LAN, and Wi-Fi antenna connectors.
The MS-Terminator H770YTX D5 WIFI, released in January, features an 8+1+1 phase power module, support for Intel's 12th, 13th, and 14th generation Core processors, and dual-channel DDR5 8000 memory. It includes multiple Type-C interfaces, PCIe 5.0 slot with 8+8 split, four M.2 slots, and Realtek sound and network cards.
The MAXSUN MS-iCraft B760M CROSS is a visually appealing Micro-ATX motherboard with a unique design. It supports Intel LGA1700 platform, 12th-14th Gen Core Intel CPUs, DDR5 memory modules, and features PCIe Gen 5 x16 slot, PCIe Gen 3 x4 slot, and PCIe Gen 3 x1 slot. It also includes M.2 slots and SATA ports for storage.
MAXSUN also previewed the upcoming MS-Terminator model with the new LGA 1851 socket, compatible with Intel's Arrow Lake-S "Core Ultra 200" Desktop CPUs. Details are limited, but it is expected to feature the Z890 chipset and advanced power module.
